An opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a large-scale Transport Management System across a complex supply chain and logistics environment. This role will take ownership of end-to-end delivery, bringing together business, technology, operational and vendor teams to deliver a critical transformation program.
You'll play a key role in implementing a modern transport management platform that will enhance planning, visibility, optimisation, reporting and operational efficiency across Australia and New Zealand. Working within a broader transformation roadmap, you'll drive delivery outcomes while managing stakeholder engagement, governance, risk, budget and implementation readiness.
This contract role is based in Burnley, Victoria, with flexibility and occasional travel to operational sites and partner locations as required.
This is: what you'll do
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from mobilisation through to go-live and transition to support.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans across business and technology workstreams.
- Manage delivery activities across vendors, implementation partners and internal teams.
- Drive governance, reporting, RAID management and executive stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate solution design, systems integration, data readiness and deployment planning.
- Oversee testing, operational readiness, cutover and hypercare activities.
- Collaborate with supply chain, transport, technology and analytics stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, commercial obligations and vendor performance.
- Drive issue resolution, dependency management and risk mitigation activities.
- Support change management, communications, training and business adoption initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Transport Management System implementations.
- Experience with Manhattan Active Transport or comparable enterprise TMS platforms.
- Proven background leading large-scale technology and business transformation programs.
- Strong project governance, financial management and executive reporting capability.
- Experience managing complex integrations across ERP, WMS, carrier and supplier environments.
- Proven delivery experience across design, build, testing, deployment and support transition.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and vendor management skills.
- Experience using Jira or similar enterprise project delivery tools.
- Strong risk, issue and dependency management capability.
- Exposure to retail, logistics, transport or supply chain environments.
- Lead a highly visible enterprise transformation program with executive sponsorship.
- Deliver a business-critical platform that impacts end-to-end transport operations.
- Work across technology, operations and supply chain functions in a complex environment.
- Contribute to a broader transformation roadmap with significant future initiatives.
