An opportunity has become available for a Technical & Development Lead to join a large-scale transformation program on a 12 month, Melbourne based contract.
In this role, you’ll lead the end-to-end technical delivery of SAP and related platform capabilities across the program — ensuring solution architecture, interface design, development, integration, and technical governance meet enterprise standards and deliver scalable business outcomes.
You’ll work closely with functional leads, solution architects, vendors, and site teams to manage technical alignment, oversee system development, and ensure smooth rollout across key releases.
This is: what you’ll do
- Lead technical delivery and solution ownership across SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, Chris21 Payroll, SAP Commerce, Manugistics, Promax, HFM, and reporting tools (Power BI/Qlik)
- Oversee architecture alignment, configuration quality, and integration development across program phases
- Ensure solution design integrity is maintained across all site deployments and manage resolution of technical issues and conflicts
- Manage and guide internal and vendor developers across ABAP, PI/PO, BTP, APIs, IDocs, and EDI integrations
- Oversee technical build documentation, code reviews, performance tuning, and system stability initiatives
- Provide technical governance via design authority forums and architecture reviews
- Support testing cycles, defect resolution, cutover planning, and hypercare across technical streams
- Guide and mentor site IT teams through deployment phases, ensuring sustainable support and adoption
This is: what you’ll need
- Extensive experience leading technical teams in SAP transformation or rollout environments
- Deep experience in SAP development (ABAP, PI/PO, BTP, Fiori, IDocs, APIs) and integration design
- Demonstrated experience in multi-site deployments and technical solution delivery across ERP, CRM, HR/payroll, logistics and data reporting systems
- Strong understanding of system architecture, interface management, and environment coordination
- Proven ability to manage external vendors and maintain code quality standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business needs and technical delivery
- Hands-on, technically credible, and confident managing pressure and issue resolution in fast-paced settings
