A Senior Solution Architect contract opportunity is available within a large, complex enterprise environment undergoing significant digital and platform transformation.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and governing end-to-end solution architectures that deliver real business outcomes while aligning to enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term technology strategy. You’ll partner closely with delivery teams, product owners, business leaders and vendors to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.
This position suits an architect who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and thrives in fast-moving, multi-stream environments.
This is: what you’ll do
- Lead solution architecture design across applications, data, integration, security and infrastructure
- Translate business requirements into high-quality conceptual, logical and physical solution designs
- Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements including security, scalability, resilience and performance
- Provide design assurance across delivery, identifying and resolving architectural risks early
- Collaborate with engineering, product, business and vendor teams to ensure feasibility and smooth transition to build and run
- Guide integration and migration approaches from legacy to target-state architectures
- Apply enterprise architecture principles, standards and guardrails across all solution designs
- Contribute to architecture governance, patterns, standards and continuous improvement initiatives
This is: what you’ll need
- 7+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect within large, complex enterprise environments
- Proven experience designing end-to-end solutions across application, integration, data and security domains
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure and/or GCP) and modern architecture patterns
- Deep understanding of integration technologies, APIs, event-driven architecture and migration strategies
- Experience working within architecture governance frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate or similar desirable)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
