Our client is looking for a SAP Basis Administrator to join a large-scale enterprise environment where stability, optimisation and performance are at the heart of everything you do. This 6-month contract offers the opportunity to take ownership of the technical health of complex SAP landscapes, ensuring reliability, availability and seamless delivery across multiple systems and environments.
You’ll be part of a high-performing IT team that supports critical business operations, working closely with infrastructure, CloudOps, development and integration teams to keep systems running smoothly and projects moving forward.
This is: what you’ll do
- Design and implement SAP configurations to maximise performance and availability
- Monitor and maintain SAP systems, including performance tuning, logs, short dumps and traces
- Administer and optimise SAP HANA and MS SQL databases
- Plan and execute SAP upgrades and patching to maintain system currency
- Support project delivery for new SAP implementations and integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve Basis issues across ABAP and Java stacks
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including cloud vendors and project teams
- Maintain clear documentation of system changes, upgrades and procedures
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in SAP Basis administration
- Strong technical expertise across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, CAR, SCM/APO and SLT
- Experience with both ABAP and Java stacks on HANA and MS SQL databases
- Solid understanding of database administration and data volume management
- Preferred exposure to SAP BTP and hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to document, plan and communicate technical activities clearly
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- Work within a large, complex SAP environment
