An opportunity for a Senior Solution Architect to take a key role in a complex enterprise transformation, shaping application architecture across Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, HR, Data and Integration.
You will bring deep SAP architecture expertise while maintaining an enterprise-first perspective, helping drive clean-core, integration-led and cloud-aligned solutions. The environment spans large-scale ERP transformation, master data governance, integration rationalisation, identity and security modernisation, and retail and supply chain convergence.
This is a 12 month contract based in Melbourne, suited to an experienced architect comfortable operating across complex multi-vendor, multi-cloud and regulated environments.
This is: what you'll do
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, HR, Data and Integration.
- Design conceptual and logical architectures, integration patterns, data ownership models and security-aligned solutions.
- Drive clean-core architecture and appropriate SAP BTP and SaaS extensibility approaches.
- Lead API-first and event-driven integration design while reducing point-to-point dependencies.
- Define master data ownership and governance across product, supplier, customer and finance domains.
- Ensure solutions align with Microsoft Entra ID, SAP IAS/IPS, ServiceNow provisioning and privileged access controls where applicable.
- Present architecture proposals and structured option analysis to the Architecture Review Board.
- Assess solution options across risk, cost, complexity and technical debt.
- Drive alignment to target architecture while balancing commercial pragmatism with technical discipline.
- Significant enterprise solution architecture experience, with the role brief calling for 10+ years.
- Strong architecture experience across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Experience with SAP Master Data Governance and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solutions at scale.
- Strong understanding of SAP clean-core, RISE and cloud deployment models.
- Experience leading architecture across major ERP or enterprise transformation programs.
- Knowledge of API-led integration, middleware governance and event-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, IAM, role-based access and segregation of duties.
- Experience in regulated or high-volume retail or distribution environments.
- Ability to communicate complex architecture clearly and influence senior stakeholders, program leaders and vendors.
- Shape architecture across a broad, enterprise-scale transformation landscape.
- Work across SAP, cloud, integration, data, security and major business platforms rather than a single functional domain.
- Gain high visibility through architecture governance and strategic solution design.
- Deliver tangible simplification across technical debt, customisation, integration and enterprise application architecture.
