This is a significant SAP transformation opportunity for an experienced SAP Business Analyst to join a large-scale S/4HANA program. Based in Melbourne on a 20-month contract, you will play a key role in translating business needs into fit-to-standard SAP solutions within a structured, multi-phase delivery environment.
Working across a complex transformation program, this role sits at the centre of business and technology, partnering closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
The program introduces a modern S/4HANA landscape with a strong focus on clean core principles, process optimisation and measurable business change.
You will have the opportunity to influence design decisions, drive process clarity and support delivery across the full lifecycle from requirements through to testing and GoLive readiness.
This is: what you’ll do
- Lead requirements gathering and documentation across your assigned process domain
- Support fit- to-standard workshops and capture fit-gap outcomes with clear rationale
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP aligned solutions
- Collaborate with system integrator consultants to validate configuration and design decisions
- Maintain traceability across requirements, design, build and testing phases
- Facilitate process mapping and maintain accurate business process documentation
- Author and execute test cases across SIT and UAT, including defect triage
- Support data-related activities including mapping, cleansing and reconciliation
- Contribute to cutover planning, business readiness and Hypercare support
- Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment, sign-off and successful adoption
This is: what you’ll need
- Proven experience as an SAP Business Analyst on S/4HANA implementations or transformations
- Strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and fit-to-standard delivery approach
- Solid requirements engineering, documentation and process mapping capability
- Demonstrated experience supporting SIT and UAT phases
- Ability to challenge non-standard requirements and promote clean core principles
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP Signavio, SAP Fiori or SAP Cloud ALM is advantageous
- Exposure to SDT, RISE with SAP or regulated environments is highly regarded
