SAP MM PM Functional Consultant

A new 12-month fixed term contract opportunity has opened for an SAP Functional Consultant with specialist knowledge across Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) to support a major logistics transformation initiative.

You’ll work across SAP configuration, system support and continuous improvement for a high-volume, asset-intensive environment. This is a hands-on functional role embedded within a collaborative enterprise systems team — responsible for delivering scalable, supportable, and integrated SAP solutions across procurement and fleet management.

This is: what you’ll do

• Provide 1st and 2nd level application support across SAP MM/PM modules
• Lead functional delivery for enhancements and change requests across fleet and procurement systems
• Configure SAP MM and PM modules across end-to-end procurement, MRP, and maintenance workflows
• Create and manage functional documentation, testing artefacts, and business process definitions
• Conduct unit and integration testing, supporting project and patch deployments
• Liaise with ABAP developers and solution architects to ensure aligned and high-quality technical delivery
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including operations managers, finance teams, and support peers
• Contribute to SAP governance processes, continuous improvement, and release management activities

• 4+ years of practical experience across SAP MM and PM modules
• Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay, work order management, MRP, and equipment lifecycle processes
• End-to-end configuration and project lifecycle experience in SAP ECC
• Working knowledge of SAP workflows and integration across SAP FICO and logistics modules
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in enterprise environments with multiple business units and cross-functional teams
• Preferred: exposure to SAP PI/PO, Fiori, HANA, BI/BO, SD, WM, or basic ABAP/debugging
• Advantageous: experience in logistics or asset-heavy industries
