This contract opportunity places you at the centre of a complex finance transformation within a large, multi-entity organisation. As the SAP FICO Business Analyst, you will work closely with finance leaders and delivery teams to shape, refine and transition core financial processes through a critical change program.
You will be hands-on across analysis, design and delivery, supporting the separation and evolution of finance systems while ensuring continuity, control and clarity for the business. This role suits someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, enjoys solving real business problems, and can confidently bridge finance and technology.
Based in Melbourne, this initial six-month contract offers strong visibility, meaningful impact, and the opportunity to influence how finance operates moving forward.
This is: what you’ll do
- Lead discovery sessions with finance stakeholders to understand current-state processes and future requirements
- Analyse and document business requirements across SAP FICO
- Partner with finance, IT and delivery teams to design fit-for-purpose finance solutions
- Support key FICO areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting and Controlling
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications
- Support testing activities including SIT and UAT to ensure finance readiness
- Assist with cutover planning, data considerations and post go-live support
- Act as a trusted point of contact for finance stakeholders throughout the program
- Demonstrated experience as an SAP FICO Business Analyst in large or complex environments
- Strong functional knowledge across SAP FI and CO modules
- Proven ability to engage confidently with senior finance stakeholders
- Experience working on transformation, separation or complex change programs
- Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly regarded
- Involvement in a high-impact finance transformation with real organisational significance
