This is a senior contract opportunity for an experienced SAP EWM/TM Functional Lead to play a critical role in a large-scale logistics and supply chain transformation program. Based in Melbourne, this 12-month contract sits within a complex, multi-site rollout environment where Warehouse and Transport Management capabilities are being deployed nationally.
You will lead the functional design and delivery of WMTM solutions across warehouse and transport operations, acting as the key link between logistics stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery partners. The role is central to ensuring end-to-end integration across supply chain systems while maintaining standardisation and operational efficiency.
This contract is well suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of logistics operations and enterprise systems, with the opportunity to influence design decisions, resolve cross-program dependencies, and deliver outcomes that materially improve how logistics functions operate at scale.
This is: what you’ll do
- Lead the functional design and deployment of Warehouse Management and Transport Management modules across multiple sites
- Partner with site teams and national logistics stakeholders to understand operational requirements and align solution design
- Oversee fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, training input, cutover planning, and hypercare for WMTM deployments
- Act as the primary escalation point for WMTM solution issues during site rollouts
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and program leads to ensure end-to-end supply chain process integrity
- Identify, manage, and resolve cross-program and cross-platform interdependencies
- Support integration and UAT cycles with a focus on real-world logistics scenarios
- Translate technical solution decisions into clear business impacts for senior stakeholders
- Capture lessons learned and embed improvements into future deployments
This is: what you’ll need
- Proven experience leading WMTM solution design and implementations within complex environments
- Strong background in logistics solution delivery, within high-volume distribution
- Deep knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Transport Management Systems, including SAP EWM and SAP TM
- Experience working across multi-site or national rollout programs
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transport planning, and 3PL integration
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional and cross-program dependencies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technology teams
- Experience with UAT planning, data readiness, cutover, and hypercare support
- A pragmatic, hands-on delivery mindset with a focus on sustainable outcomes
