An exciting 6 month daily rate contract opportunity is available for an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong automation and API testing background to join a high-profile supply chain technology program within a market-leading organisation.
Embedded in the program delivery squad, you’ll play a critical role in validating new features, building automated test coverage, and ensuring high-quality releases aligned to the organisation’s strategic technology roadmap. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in agile environments and enjoys working closely with developers and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
This is: what you’ll do
- Collaborate with the Program Manager, Delivery Lead, Test Lead, Developers and Project Owners to define and execute test strategies and plans
- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks with a strong API focus
- Execute manual and automated test cases and analyse results
- Validate new features against technical and functional specifications
- Identify, log and manage defects through to resolution
- Support troubleshooting of production and user-raised issues
- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality practices within the delivery squad
This is: what you’ll need
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer with strong automation and API testing expertise
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks (C# preferred)
- Strong understanding of API testing and design (OAS)
- Experience with event-driven architectures (EDA)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Octopus and GitHub
- Experience working in agile delivery environments
- Strong analytical, documentation and troubleshooting skills
- Confident communicator who can work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
