This is a high-impact 12-month contract for an experienced Integration Architect to join a large-scale transformation program based in Melbourne.
You will play a critical role that sits at the centre of two major enterprise initiatives, shaping how complex systems connect, scale, and evolve.
Working within a mature Architecture practice, you will partner closely with programme architects, delivery teams, and system integrators to define modern, API-first integration approaches.
This is a hands-on role where your designs directly influence how parallel programmes deliver independently while remaining seamlessly connected.

This is: what you’ll do
- Define enterprise integration patterns, API contracts, and interface designs across critical programmes
- Design transition and coexistence integrations to support parallel system delivery
- Lead the move towards API-led and event-driven architecture, enabling real-time and scalable data flows
- Design and guide the target-state integration platform strategy across a fragmented landscape
- Map and document interfaces, dependencies, and sequencing to support programme delivery
- Establish integration non-functional requirements including performance, resilience, and security
- Collaborate with programme architects and systems integrators to review and challenge solution designs
- Deliver proofs of concept to validate high-risk or high-volume integration scenarios
- Drive consistency through reusable patterns, standards, and governance practices
This is: what you’ll need
- Strong integration architecture experience, across large enterprise transformation programmes
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite and SAP S/4HANA environments
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering on enterprise integration platforms, including SAP Integration Suite
- Integration experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Proven experience with retail POS integration landscapes and complex interface design
- Proven capability designing API-led and event-driven integration solutions
- Experience working across cloud integration patterns, ideally AWS
- Demonstrated success in modernising complex, multi-technology integration estates
- Experience supporting parallel delivery or system migration environments
- Strong understanding of integration non-functional design including performance and security
- Ability to work commercially with system integrators and delivery partners
- Clear documentation and stakeholder communication skills
