We're seeking an experienced Finance Workstream Business SME to support a major SAP ERP deployment for a leading organisation undergoing significant business transformation.
This is a hands-on role where you'll bring together strong operational accounting expertise and SAP ECC knowledge to ensure finance processes, testing outcomes, data migration activities and training materials align with business requirements.
Working closely with Finance stakeholders, SAP Functional Consultants and Technical teams, you'll play a critical role in ensuring a successful deployment.
Melbourne-based, this 6-month contract offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile ERP program while delivering meaningful outcomes across testing, reconciliation, business readiness and cutover activities.
This is: what you'll do
- Develop detailed finance test cases, test scripts and expected outcomes aligned to agreed business processes
- Execute testing within SAP ECC and validate outcomes against business requirements
- Identify, document and manage defects, process gaps and remediation activities
- Support defect investigation and retesting alongside Finance, functional and technical teams
- Perform reconciliation and validation of migrated financial data during trial conversions and cutover activities
- Validate financial balances, transactional records, master data and migration outputs against source systems
- Investigate data discrepancies and collaborate with project teams to drive issue resolution
- Review finance training materials, work instructions and process documentation for accounting accuracy
- Provide SME guidance across testing, data migration, business readiness and deployment activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support a successful and smooth ERP
This is: what you'll need
- Strong operational accounting experience with CPA qualification highly regarded
- Proven SAP ECC Finance experience, particularly within FI/CO
- Deep understanding of end-to-end finance and accounting processes
- Experience supporting SAP ERP implementation, deployment or transformation programs
- Strong testing, UAT and defect management experience
- Hands-on data migration validation and reconciliation expertise
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working with Finance business users, SAP consultants and technology teams
- FMCG industry experience highly desirable
