An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Environment Manager to join a major enterprise transformation program on an initial 9-month contract. You will take ownership of end-to-end environment planning, governance, readiness and coordination across multiple project workstreams, ensuring critical SAP S/4HANA, integration, middleware and peripheral system environments are available when and where they are needed.
Working across business and technology teams, you'll play a key role in supporting delivery through development, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, cutover and go-live activities. You'll also be responsible for coordinating multiple delivery partners, infrastructure teams and vendors to ensure environments remain stable, available and aligned to program timelines.
This role will suit a highly organised professional with experience managing complex SAP and enterprise application landscapes within large-scale transformation programs.
This is: what you'll do
- Lead the development and execution of environment strategies, plans and roadmaps
- Ensure SAP S/4HANA, integration, middleware and peripheral system environments are available and fit for purpose when required
- Coordinate environment scheduling across multiple project streams and delivery teams
- Oversee environment provisioning, configuration and readiness activities
- Manage dependencies across infrastructure, applications, security, networking, integration and vendor teams
- Coordinate infrastructure teams and third-party vendors to support environment stability and delivery readiness
- Prevent testing delays caused by environment instability, scheduling conflicts or competing deployments
- Coordinate releases, deployments, code migrations and production cutover activities
- Manage environment readiness across SIT, UAT, cutover and go-live phases
- Drive resolution of environment, integration and test support issues
- Identify, assess and manage environment-related risks, issues and dependencies
- Provide clear governance, reporting and visibility of environment status to program leadership
- Collaborate with project managers, delivery teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure readiness milestones are achieved
- Support a smooth transition from project delivery into operational support
- Proven experience in Environment Management within large enterprise or transformation programs
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud and enterprise application environments
- Strong knowledge of integration, middleware and enterprise technology landscapes
- Demonstrated experience coordinating releases, deployments and cutover activities
- Knowledge of test environment management across SIT, UAT and performance testing
- Experience managing integrations, interfaces and data dependencies
- Strong risk, issue and dependency management capabilities
- Experience coordinating multiple internal and external delivery partners, vendors and infrastructure teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Highly developed planning, coordination and organisational skills
- Experience working across complex multi-vendor delivery environments
- Play a critical role in a large-scale enterprise transformation program
- Work across complex SAP S/4HANA, integration and enterprise technology landscapes
- High visibility role with direct influence on delivery readiness and program success
